Review: Himalaya Herbals Oil Balancing Face Wash Gel with Citron and Honey

I have an oily-combination skin and I have a tendency to keep on searching for better face washes, creams and toners that can help keep my face matte and shine free for long durations. I got a chance to try this particular oil balancing face wash gel from Himalaya Herbals and I've been using it since quite some time now. Below are the details and the review:

About Himalaya Herbals Oil Balancing Face Wash Gel with Citron and Honey

Quantity: 50ml

Price: INR 40/-

My experience with this face wash:

After using so many Himalaya Herbals products, I was expecting the lovely fragrance from this face wash too. The face wash truly satisfied my appetite for an amazing fragrance the moment I used it first time. It had essence of sandalwood and a bit of incense stick smell to it. The smell was quite strong and a bit intoxicating too. The product comes out in thick transparent gel with small multi-colored micro-granules in it.

And below are some of the likes and dislikes I've felt from this face wash:

Likes:

1) I love the aroma this face wash gives. It is strong; it is intoxicating and I love it!

2) The product comes in a tube with flip open cap, which makes the usage quite easy. The packaging makes it perfect to carry in a handbag without worrying about any spillage.

3) The transparent gel that comes out of the tube is quite thick. I usually break it with my fingers, dilute with some water and then massage it all over my face with my hands. It lathers very less and has a bit slippery feeling to it. The micro granules are quite gentle and I could feel them against my skin, doing certain minute level of exfoliation too.

4) It does cleanse my face well of the oil. I haven't experienced any oiliness on my T-zone for another 2-3 hours after washing my face with this, so there it definitely performs what it claims.

5) It doesn't give any dry-stretched feeling to my skin after I've washed my face with it.

6) It didn't give any allergic reactions to my skin, nor did it cause me any break outs. Also, most of the ingredients are natural and herbal, which definitely makes it better over some other chemically dominated face washes.

7) The quantity you get at such less price makes it very affordable.

Dislikes:

1) The intoxicating fragrance of this product might be too strong for sensitive noses.

2) The product doesn't lather much, so if you are a foam-loving person, you might not like it much.

3) It doesn't remove makeup completely. I need to use a separate cleanser to remove my eye liner and mascara.

Overall Verdict:

It is a decent face wash for oil/combination skin beauties. I have been liking the fragrance, the overall work of this face wash so far and it is definitely included in one of my budget buys list, especially the stuffs I'd love to carry in my handbag while traveling. It helps keep oil at bay, without giving any itchy stretchy feeling, hence definitely recommended.
