Sweet, girly and comforting. This fragrance is like a kiss and a hug in a bottle from that friend. You know the one that tells you the truth, the complete truth in a way which doesn't make you crumble and curl up on the basement floor wailing. They're not out for your downfall or snickering about your goals and dreams when you reveal them. They accept your flaws but are not afraid to tell you when you've overstepped the line of healthy boundaries. They keep your humanity in check and your moral coding fresh. Those friends can be people but also are our own thoughts, the helpful ones that remind us each and every day that we can do more and will do better. They expect the best for us and thus themselves. They're not dumpster diving for compliments, they're comfortable riding low and being the brick in the wall from time to time, to get things done. It's like the smile in the storm when it feels like the whole world is against you and nothing is going right, someone, something, somehow a ray of light cracks through, to show you that there is hope and there's no need to be afraid any more - you can and will move on.
Opera Silver is a beautiful smudge of sweet musky chocolate delight. It's an opulent scent that can be worn comfortably on all occasions. It reminds me of Xerjoff Casamorati-Lira except Lira has a bitter smokiness that Opera Silver does not. Similarly, the addictive dry down of Britney Spears fantasy comes to mind also but once again, Opera Silver does not have the fruity sprightly quality and is much more refined. If you like your scent to be a quiet crescendo of inner confidence and self-esteem which doesn't have to attack the crowd but appease a much more intimate audience, this fragrance is for you.
This scent stays close to the skin and doesn't have much projection. Whilst it does last a good time I wouldn't say its extremely long-lasting but its no pushover either - mainly retiring to being a close to skin scent throughout the day. Opera Silver is clean, sweet and loving in the type of way that will heal the wounds from all those headache-inducing tornado romances just when you need it to. Literally, scent therapy in a bottle. Plus, just like the other Thea bottle, I bought it is £1.99 too.
