Beyoncé, Bee, Queen B, Sasha Fierce... Whatever you want to call her, there's no denying that Beyonce Knowles-Carter, is a living icon. From pop star to film star, there's nothing stopping Beyoncé. The singer, songwriter, actress, record producer and designer has sold over 160 million records, won 23 Grammy's, starred in eight movies, including The Lion King remake, launched two fashion lines and kept us guessing along the way about what she will do next. Beyoncé first rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of R&B girl group Destiny's Child whose four albums and hits including 'Bills, Bills, Bills', 'Survivor', 'Independent Woman' and 'Bootylicious' saw them become one of the best-selling girl groups in history. Since then, Beyoncé has gone solo, releasing a massive seven albums, finding time for some acting credits in Hollywood blockbusters 'Dreamgirls' and 'The Pink Panther' - oh, and let's not forget being one half of music's biggest power couple. Here's everything you need to know about Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's career... Where was Beyoncé born? Beyoncé was born in Houston, Texas, in the USA. She's referenced her home city a few times in her music, most notably in 'Run The World (Girls)' where she sings, 'This is how they made me, made me / Houston Texas baby.' Which are Beyoncé's most famous songs? Beyoncé has created some of our favourite hits. Her debut solo hit 'Crazy In Love' was released in March 2003 and quickly claimed the Number 1 spot both sides of the Atlantic. Plus the track's video (on 400 million YouTube views and counting) saw us all try and emulate Beyonce's signature dance moves. Since then, Beyoncé has continued to serve up hit after hit with songs including 'Naughty Girl' 'Irreplaceable', 'Ring the Alarm', 'If I Were a Boy', 'Sweet Dreams' 'Run the World (Girls)' and 'Best Thing I Never Had' to name a few. How long was Beyoncé in Destiny's Child for? Beyoncé is one-third of the biggest selling R&B girl group Destiny's Child. The band arrived on the music scene in 1998 with their self-titled album, and a year later 'The Writing's on The Wall' followed. Their back catalogue includes R&B anthems such as 'Bug A Boo', 'No No No', 'Nasty Girl' and the best Christmas song ever (no arguments!) '8 Days of Christmas' which sound as good now as when they were released. The group were originally called Girl's Tyme and was made up of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. LaTavia and LeToya were replaced with Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin, who left after five months. They officially split in 2006, releasing a statement to MTV which read, 'We have been working together as Destiny's Child since we were 9, and touring together since we were 14. After a lot of discussion and some deep soul searching, we realized that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny's Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other. The trio united when Beyoncé headlined Coachella last year with a special appearance much to the delight of the crowd. Plus they seem as close as ever with Beyoncé recently celebrating bandmate Kelly Rowland's 38th birthday with some epic throwback pics. The pair go way back as they originally meet at school before forming a band managed by Beyoncé's father Matthew Knowles. Beyoncé: 'Single Ladies' The year 2003 saw us all belting out 'Crazy In Love' while doing some crazy hip movements and pretending we are wrapped in a Chinchilla next to Jay-Z with a casual car on fire in the background (if you know you know). But 2009 was the year Beyoncé's MASSIVE hit 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)' from her album 'I Am.. Sasha Fierce' saw us all waving that boy bye as we recreated those hand movements at any given opportunity. We also immediately purchased a black leotard. Hell, even our gran got in on the act singing 'oh, oh, oh, oh oh, oh'. Major bonus points if you know the whole routine. How many albums has Beyoncé made? Beyoncé's 2003 debut album 'Dangerously In Love' introduced us to Beyoncé as a solo singer. But Bey didn't just sing, she co-wrote and produced the tracks, collaborating with Sean Paul and Luther Vandross on 'Baby Boy' and 'The Closer I Get To You'. The album went on to receive five Grammy Awards. Three years later, Beyoncé served up 'B'Day', released on her 25th birthday on 4th September 2006. The album includes hits 'Déjà vu' 'Get Me Bodied' 'Green Light' and 'Upgrade U'. Next, Beyoncé introduced us to her alter ego in 2008's 'I am… Sasha Fierce'. The album is divided into two, with the first eight songs including 'Halo' and 'Broken Hearted Girl' coming from 'Beyoncé' and being more melancholic and emotional in theme, before Sasha Fierce, who Beyoncé describes as her on-stage alter ego, turns up to belt out beats including 'Single Ladies', 'Ego' and 'Diva'. Beyoncé's fourth album '4' dropped on 24th June 2011 with songs including 'Love On Top' and 'Party' and her self-titled fifth album 'Beyoncé' followed in 2013. Beyoncé: 'Lemonade' Beyoncé's sixth album 'Lemonade' wins the award for most talked-up - and rightly so. 'Lemonade' dropped out of NOWHERE on 23rd April 2016 as a visual album including a 65-minute film. The album's tracks largely focus on Beyoncé's husbands Jay-Z's alleged infidelities. Bey doesn't hold back in the lyrics, 'Hold Up' includes the lines, 'I smell your secrets, and I'm not too perfect to ever feel this worthless. How did it come down to this? Scrolling through your call list'. These themes continue in 'Sorry' with, 'Look at my watch, he should have been home. Today I regret the night I put that ring on', before the now-iconic lines, 'He only want me when I'm not there. He better call Becky with the good hair.' As you can imagine, the internet went into MELTDOWN! Only adding to the hype was that the album was only available to stream on Jay-Z's Tidal for the first week of its release. Beyoncé's tours are the best in the game No-one puts on a stadium tour like Beyoncé. Tickets to Bey's most recent UK Formation Tour in 2016 sold out in 30 minutes. Those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets were treated to an AMAZING show from start to finish from Bey and her army of backing dancers. Yes, Beyoncé stars as the adult Nala in the Disney remake of The Lion King. It was back in 2017 that rumours first surfaced that the pop star would be taking on a role in the film. The movie is now in cinemas, and fans get the chance to hear Beyoncé's fantastic voice. Ahead of the film's release Disney announced a Lion King-inspired album produced by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter! Beyoncé, who also contributed 'Spirit' to the album, released a statement about the upcoming album, saying, "This is sonic cinema. This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound. According to the British actor, Beyonce, 37, has big dreams of winning an Oscar in the future and he's pretty confident she can do it. Could you imagine that acceptance speech? It'd be epic. Michael, 85, had the pleasure of working with Queen Bey back in 2002 when they both starred in Austin Powers in Goldmember and it seems they got pretty close on set. Well, close enough for Bey to reveal her biggest professional ambition anyway. Recalling their near 20-year-old conversation, Michael told Rolling Stone: 'I knew she was a singer and had a group [Destiny's Child]. I asked her one day, "What do you want to do with your life, Be-yons?"' Erm, can we talk about that nickname? Amazing.
