What is the exact budget you have and the resolution (or display size) you want?
Have you looked into Dell's offers?

Unfortunately, the Mac platform is a minority platform and thus lacks developers. Maybe you could pressure the Foobar dev team to making a Mac version on the Foobar forums.
EDIT: Slightly better news; someone has made a version using Wine (a Windows emulator/compatibility layer.) It isn't native and thus may run a little slow, but here you go. (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t77261.html) I'm afraid this is as good as it is getting at the moment. Other than that, I can only suggest you use iTunes, it isn't half as bad as it is on Windows.

I'd use apple's battery replacement program. You get a refurb iPod the same model as your current one. It is $60 and you don't have to worry about breaking it when replacing the battery (which I did once). It will cost more, but it is like getting a new iPod. I did it recently and was quite happy.

Stephen,
Like anything else, networking is usually a good way to find someone. Check out "LinkedIn" and look for people you know who know iPhone developers.
When you find a developer, you have to remember that you're working on a relationship that is going to be around for a while. So, my recommendation is to build a product backlog that shows what's required for version 1, version 2, etc. etc.
Payment depends entirely upon the skills required and domain knowledge involved. Expect to pay from $50 to $250 per hour. A fixed "job rate" can be negotiated as well. Some developers work for a cut of the profits or an ownership stake in the app that's developed...

The 'Save Track' option doesn't involve transcoding, but it may involve rewrapping.
Thanks..rewrapping is what I'm looking to do if I can't actually demux.
(knew I'd get myself jumbled up)

So - are we really surprised? Is Adobe just "lazy" or did they cut their QA department? Maybe Safari does not have a significant enough market share to warrant QA testing?
The world may never know.

Is it smart buying a new Mac RAID card to have RAID 5 in a new MP w/4x3TB drives and NEC 27" display if I am doing video editing, today, or save the $ on the MP, and card, and use (instead) either an iMac with eSATA card rigged for external RAID or a MacBook Pro w/Thunderbolt somehow connected to what doesn't exist until summer? Or, should I wait for iMac refresh??? I need machine ASAP, but suppose I could get quad interface and suffer w/FW8 until TB comes online. What to do? Any ideas?

This is the second one of these I found in the woods behind my house.
They are semi-soft, and look like they might be an egg of some type, though at first I thought they were man-made because of the perfect seam that runs around the center.
ANyone have any idea what this is?

hey rodolfo, looks like you are pretty pumped for this. Anyway, i was thinking best buy galleria. Anyone have any info on them? I do have 15 bucks in certs, so i would like to use it anyway. Plus their return policy is better than apple 14day, and probably get 10 bucks back off 500. Anyway, i might be apple galleria if it doesn't pan out at best buy. I might call best buy later today, but i hate to be that 1000th caller haha.

Ummmm, if your wife doesn't have her own computer, where are her music and apps located?
In any case, there's two basic ways to go about this.
1. iTunes lets you create more than one iTunes library on a computer. Create a separate library for your wife, and let her do her own thing. In order to create a new library or switch between libraries, hold down the shift key while opening iTunes. (might be a different key if you have a Mac, but that's the general idea)
2. Use a single iTunes account and a single iTunes library, and make separate playlists for your music and your wife's music. You can also pick and select which apps sync with which iDevice.
A variation of this option is that you can use both accounts with the same iTunes library, but once both accounts are in the same library, as far as I know, there's no quick way to tell which app/music was bought with which account.
Personally I prefer the second method, because switching libraries is a pain, and there might be occasional apps/music that you and your wife both use, but if you are using separate accounts/libraries, you'd have to buy them twice. But you'd have to be diligent about sorting your music into playlists.

A midi signal doesn't contain any sound. You need to pick a software instrument in Garageband.
Jolly Jimmy, Thanks! That fixed it. Thought I had tried that before, but must have changed it without realising.
I have sound now.

I'm brand new to animation. I want a program that I can easily create a visual for story lines with characters without the hassle/knowdledge of how to create characters/environment from scratch.
I read that Poser 2010 Pro has a large library of characters environments compared to Poser 8. The price tag is expensive and want to check on anyone's experience with the two or some other program. Thanks in advance.

Personally i'd run 2 partitions on the 7200, one for other files and one for the scratch disk, just my thoughts :)
